We are pleased to invite the students of your esteemed institution to participate in the Rent-Par QA Bug Hunt Hackathon 2026, an online software testing competition designed to provide students with practical exposure to real-world Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
The hackathon will give participants an opportunity to test live Rent-Par platforms, identify and report bugs, document issues professionally, and experience a real-world software testing environment.

After the registration process is completed, registered participants will receive further communication regarding:

Hackathon Testing Platforms:
Participants will be assigned to one of the following testing groups:
Group A: Mobile Application
Group B: MV Website
Group C: DV Website
Each participant will be assigned a specific platform and will be required to test only the platform allocated to them.
Areas of Testing:
Participants will get practical exposure to:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Technical Testing
- UI/UX Testing
- Responsive Testing
- Browser and Device Compatibility Testing
- Bug Reporting and Documentation
Participants will be required to document the bugs identified during testing with proper details, including the test scenario, expected result, actual result, bug description, and supporting screenshots or screen recordings where applicable.
Important Participation Guidelines:
- Participants must join the Zoom meeting before the reporting time.
- Testing will begin only after the official announcement by the Rent-Par team.
- Participants must test only their assigned platform.
- All testing activities must remain within the defined testing scope.
- Participants must follow the provided bug-reporting format.
- The completed submission must be submitted before the specified deadline.
- Only valid and reproducible bugs will be considered during the final evaluation.
Evaluation and Winner Selection:
The submissions will be reviewed and validated by the Rent-Par QA Team.
The evaluation will be based on factors such as:
- Valid and reproducible bugs
- Critical and high-severity bugs
- Testing coverage
- Functional and technical testing
- Quality of bug reports
- Supporting evidence
- Reproducibility of reported issues
- Duplicate, invalid, or out-of-scope bugs may not be considered during the final evaluation.
