DCIP is a unique, unpaid, multi-disciplinary program offered by the District Administration of Kozhikode, designed to nurture compassionate and responsible civil society members. This program provides passionate young minds with an opportunity to experience the functioning of government machinery from within by bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Interns work on high-impact government projects across various departments, gaining invaluable experiences that enhance both their personal and professional lives. Selected from hundreds of applications nationwide, DCIP interns are mentored by professionals from diverse fields such as medicine, social entrepreneurship, and more.
Key Highlights:
DCIP interns have also played critical roles during crises such as the Nipah outbreak, Kerala floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic, augmenting relief and rehabilitation efforts led by the district administration. These experiences showcase the program's commitment to creating a compassionate and resilient civil society.
